The reoccuring clip is a camcorder video pointed at my vector oscilloscope, which actively displays and graphs the music track on the tape by plotting left and right frequencies on an X-Y graph. Just put it in there cause it looks cool
Many scenes in this tape rely on a video feedback loop. If you've ever had a microphone routed to speakers and heard a weird noise, this is an audio feedback loop. It happens because the microphone picks up what the speakers are outputting, which is the microphone.
As you can see in the illustration above, I essentially create a feedback loop by pointing this camcorder at the TV. The camera sees what it's seeing repeatedly, so it ends up being a TV inside a TV for infinity. This makes some crazy patterns that I can use artistically as seen below.
